Blackie • Male • Born April 2026

Blackie was the only survivor of an illness that struck his litter, he came to us after having been found and nursed back to health by a good samaritan! He is intensely friendly, adores attention and has an unlimited battery for play. His enthusiasm is endless and it is a miracle we got him to sit (somewhat) still for his photos. He is wonderfully adaptable and could be socialized into any environment where he gets enough attention!

Like other kittens at the shelter, Blackie cannot be an only cat! He must either go home with another kitten, or go to a home that already has a sociable cat. At his age his socialization could be negatively impacted by being alone, as other cats are instrumental in teaching kittens not to play rough, how to communicate, and how to groom themselves!

Mumtaz • Female • Born June 2026

Mumtaz is so sweet that it can barely be put into words. She’s a friend to all other kittens—even the nervous ones—because of her gentle and carefree demeanor. She loves both people and other animals, and will fall asleep in your arms & follow you around constantly! She’s adventurous to a fault and slightly clumsy, but that doesn’t stop her from keeping up with all of the older kittens!

Mojito • Male • Born May 2026

Mojito seems to think that he’s cool and independent, but he’s actually just as excited as any other kitten! He spent a period of time alone, and this means his social skills are slightly stunted—he has trouble regulating himself and can become overstimulated very easily, which causes him to hide for a few minutes until he is feeling confident again. He also vocalizes inappropriately, sometimes growling when overexcited or while eating (he’s all bark and no bite, though)! When he’s not overstimulated he loves cuddles and attention, immediately purring the second you pick him up.

He is learning how to play with other kittens and improves every day! Ideally he should go to a home with a sociable cat or another kitten to continue this journey, as behavioural issues can arise and worsen when kittens have not been taught how to communicate!

Brie

Baguette & Brie • Female • Born March 2026  On Hold!

Baguette & Brie are a rambunctious pair of sisters! Baguette is a polydactyl—born with an extra pair of thumbs—and while Brie does not share this trait, she is still very special! These two are extremely friendly and love to show it by wagging their tails and following every person they meet. Baguette is cuddlier, but Brie is more curious! These two have been fantastic with other cats & kittens in the past.

They’ve never been around dogs before, but with the right socialization they could thrive in almost any environment! They are extremely tolerant of handling and are great for nail trims!

These two must be adopted together!

Animal Adoptions of Flamborough has been taking in and caring for kittens for over 30 years. Raising kittens takes a great deal of devotion including early health care, vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, love, and socialization.

As a result, we will care for them until 14 to 16 weeks of age when they will be more developed and socialized so it will be easier to introduce your new addition into your family and other pet’s lives.

AAF Kitten Adoption Process:

1. Submit your application to adopt a kitten(s) by clicking this link!

2. You will receive an email or a phone call for a phone interview within a few days of receipt of your application.

3. The next step would be to arrange a Meet & Greet at the shelter with our available kittens.

There will only be a Foster-to-Adopt period (7 days) for kittens being integrated into a home with other pets and/or young children.

After the steps above, if you have been approved for a kitten adoption, the Adoption Fee of $280 can be paid by cash, cheque, e-transfer, debit or credit card. Adopting a pair of kittens has an Adoption Fee of $480

Your Adoption Fee includes the following:

    • Initial vet visit and physical exam
    • Microchip Implant and registration
    • FIV/Fel. Leuk TEST at 16 weeks of age
    • Revolution flea/tick/ear mite Medication
    • Deworming Medication
    • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd vaccinations (including Rabies)
    • Spay or Neuter surgery at six months of age, arranged by us at a vet of our choice. NOTE: We do not cover the cost of any pre-anesthesia bloodwork or the cost of a post-surgical onesie.

⚠️ We recommend that you initiate a regular vet schedule for your kitten/ cat including yearly vaccinations and checkups.

Benefits of Adopting an Older Kitten:

  • More time spent with siblings and with foster families means that kittens have better manners and social / life skills.
  • More litter box & grooming experience.
  • Exposure to scratching posts and boards.
  • Their bones are more developed, lessening the chances of injury from jumping, playing or exploring.
  • Younger kittens are more likely to get into small openings (vents, furniture, etc.) without being noticed.
